Bring a CRNA
voice that lands.

I speak to nurse anesthesia audiences — students, residents, and practicing CRNAs — about emotional intelligence, leadership under pressure, and the inner work this profession demands.

What I speak about.

Every talk is grounded in real clinical experience and structured leadership frameworks I've developed over five years of coaching aspiring CRNAs.

1

Emotional Intelligence in Clinical Practice

The four pillars of EQ as they apply specifically to anesthesia: managing your own nervous system, reading the room, navigating preceptor and surgeon dynamics, and delivering higher-quality care because of it. Featured in Healthgrades.

2

The 4 P's That Run CRNA School

Productivity, Perfectionism, Performance, People-Pleasing — the survival patterns every NAR fights, why they work until they don't, and what to replace them with. Practical, actionable, immediately applicable.

3

Leadership at the Head of the Bed

What it actually takes to lead from the anesthesia provider seat. Not management theory — the real-time, in-the-moment leadership work CRNAs do every day, often without realizing it.

4

The Inner Work

Why technical excellence isn't enough, why so many new CRNAs burn out within their first two years, and what programs and clinical sites can do about it. For educators and program directors specifically.

About your speaker

Amanda Kay, MSN, CRNA.

Practicing CRNA since 2017. Member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists. Founder of The Mindful CRNA. Host of The Mindful CRNA Podcast.

I bring two things to every stage: the credibility of having done the work — eight clinical rotations, three thousand clinical hours, years of practice across hospitals, offices, and surgi-centers — and the experience of having taught it. Hundreds of aspiring CRNAs have come through my coaching programs since 2020.

I speak in a tone that's grounded, direct, and warm. No fluff. No motivational speaker energy. Just the truth, told well.
